NEW ENTERTAINMENT MAGAZINE TO DEBUT THIS MONTH

The first issue of a new magazine called Inside Entertainment will be published on March 23 by Kontent Publishing of Toronto. The magazine will be a printed counterpart to the television program of the same name currently broadcast on the Global and CH networks. The magazine will cover movies, television, celebrities, video and DVD releases, books and music. It will be edited by Christopher Loudon, who has previously worked at Saturday Night, TV Guide and AOL. The publisher is Geoffrey Dawe, formerly vice-president of marketing at the National Post. The magazine will be published 10 times per year with a circulation of 350,000 copies per issue. It will be distributed with the National Post and through some retail outlets. The enterprise will also have a Web site, which will be hosted at canada.com as part of its Entertainment Channel. According to the company, advertisers including L'Oreal, Universal Theatrical, Fox Home Entertainment and Bose Electronics have signed up for promotional or advertising packages spanning the TV show, the magazine and the Web site.
