PFIZER PICKS LXB
By Adnews Staff
Pfizer Canada, based in Kirkland, PQ, has hired Montreal-based agency LXB (Lacroix-Bleau Communication Marketing) to work on a cardiovascular project. The agency will work with a group of medical representatives and healthcare professionals Pfizer has formed to develop a series of programs related to the prevention, management and treatment of cardiovascular disease. LXB will produce promotional tools for the in-house staff and will develop national marketing campaigns aimed at patients who will use the programs. LXB was one of three agencies that pitched for the business. Marc Lacroix, president of LXB, said the agency's recent success in the pharmaceutical industry was a factor in Pfizer's decision. The agency also counts Aventis Pharma, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Merck-Frosst, Abbot Laboratories, Schering Canada and Health Canada among its clients.
