MSN.CA OFFERS USERS EXTRA STORAGE

Microsoft Canada's Toronto-based Web network MSN.ca is introducing a new service called MSN Extra Storage. Beginning March 12, users will be able to buy extra storage space for MSN Hotmail and MSN Communities for a cost of $29.95 a year. This is in addition to the free storage that normally comes with these services. Users will get 10MB of MSN Hotmail storage space and 30MB of MSN Communities storage space. Users will also be able to send and receive email attachments up to 1.5MB in size. Yesterday MSN began promoting the service with an email to Hotmail customers who have reached the 2MB storage limit. Advertising for the service include online banner ads, created in-house, beginning on March 1. According to MSN, the Extra Storage service is intended to meet the demand for faster, richer online services and to give users the ability to transmit and store more email, photos and files.
