SHANKS APPOINTED GM OF NEW LABATT AGENCY

Bob Shanks has been appointed general manager of the still-to-be-named ad agency Labatt Breweries of Canada is forming, according to a report in the National Post. Shanks was previously at Toronto's Roche Macaulay & Partners where he has been president since May. Geoffrey Roche, creative director at Roche Macaulay said in the story that Shanks' last day with the agency would be today. Shanks' appointment follows news that copywriter David Chiavegator and art director Rich Pryce-Jones of Palmer Jarvis DDB will also join the new agency, the report said. Labatt announced its intention to build a new client/agency model in November after dropping Toronto-based Ammirati Puris.
