POINTS.COM TO SELL AEROPLAN MILES

Toronto-based Points.com, an online loyalty program currency exchange Web site, has added Air Canada's Aeroplan to its list of options. Aeroplan joins American Airlines and America West among loyalty program partners offering its members the ability to purchase miles for themselves or as a gift. Aeroplan members can purchase up to 15,000 miles per account per year. Aeroplan was one of the initial partners of Points.com's service when it launched in July. There are now 17 loyalty programs participating in the service, which allows members to exchange points, miles and other currencies between loyalty programs.
