Mac Cosmetics has signed music artists Elton John, Mary J. Blige and Shirley Manson to be spokespeople for Viva Glam IV lipstick. Viva Glam was introduced in 1994. Its sale is the primary fundraising method of the MAC Aids Fund. The fundraising drive involves the creation of a new lipstick and a supporting advertising campaign. Advertising will begin in February. The frosted rose and gold shimmer lipstick will be in store in March. All proceeds from the sale of Viva Glam lipstick go to the MAC Aids Fund, which provides services and support to men, women and children affected by HIV/Aids. Past spokespeople for Viva Glam campaigns have included RuPaul in 1994, k.d. lang in 1997 and Lil' Kim and Mary J. Blige last year.
