ARCHIVES OF ONTARIO PRESENT ONLINE EATON'S CHRISTMAS EXHIBIT

During December and January the Archives of Ontario is presenting an interactive online exhibit of an Eaton's Christmas from a half a century ago. The exhibit was created from the records of the T. Eaton Company, which are held by the Archives of Ontario. The exhibit includes excerpts from the retailer's Christmas catalogues, trivia, images from past Christmas displays, an old colouring book that can be printed out and video clips of television commercials and Santa Claus parades. The exhibit also invites visitors to share their memories of an Eaton's Christmas. The Archives of Ontario contain historically valuable records related to the province. The T. Eaton Collection is the largest private sector collection held by the archives.
