RESPONSIBLE GAMBLING COUNCIL ASSIGNS ONTARIO STUDENTS DRAMA PROJECT

The Responsible Gambling Council (Ontario) aims to address the issue of teen problem gambling with a "Great Responsible Gambling Drama" project. Open to Ontario students in grades 11, 12 and OAC, the initiative invites youth to write a short vignette that delivers a teen gambling prevention message. In the past the council has run similar programs, including a play writing contest and a poster design contest. Writers of the top three vignettes from this year's contest will receive $1,000 scholarship awards. The deadline for submissions is Jan. 18. Information kits and registration forms were distributed to Ontario high schools. Additional information can be found on the teen information page of the council's Web site at <http://www.responsiblegambling.org>.
