NEW PUBLISHER AT NATIONAL POST

CanWest Global Communications Corp. has made Peter Viner publisher of the National Post newspaper. Viner will retain his previous position of vice-chairman of CanWest and a member of the executive committee of the board. He replaces Gordon Fisher, who has been promoted to the newly created position of president of news and information for CanWest.
