CORUS APPOINTS NEW WTN STAFF

Corus Entertainment has appointed Wendy Herman vice-president and general manager of Women's Television Network. Herman was previously vice-president of marketing at Star Choice. Karen Gifford has been hired as director of programming. She has previously held positions at YTV, Movie Central and digital service Country Canada. Also, Shelley Gillen has been assigned to assist with program development. She was previously head of creative affairs for Movie Central, a position which she retains. Susan Schaefer, vice-president of marketing for Corus Television, Suzanne Carpenter, vice-president of sales for Corus Television and Dolores Keating-Mallen, creative head for Corus Television, will now also work for WTN.
