CANADIAN CABLE AND SATELLITE DISTRIBUTORS TEAM UP FOR DIGITAL CHANNEL PROMOTION

As the end of the free preview period for Canada's new digital channels approaches, Canadian cable and satellite providers are teaming up for a promotion to support all of the new channels. This Sunday evening, Bell ExpressVU, Cogeco, Rogers, Shaw and Star Choice will replace their national NBC feed with Alliance Atlantis' National Geographic digital channel for a simulcast of a program called SuperCroc. The program follows a paleontologist as he examines the remains of an ancient animal. The commercial breaks during the two-hour broadcast will be used to promote all of the new digital channels.
