GO TRANSIT CAMPAIGN SHOWS THE WAY

Go Transit aims to portray itself as a package of services that offers transportation at any time of the week rather than just during rush hour in three new print advertisements. The current campaign began in August with an advertisement tied to the CNE which read "GO to the CNE." The latest ads focus on sports, air travel and shopping. They read "GO to the Game," "GO to the Airport" and "GO Shopping." The ads appear on outdoor transit shelters, vertical backlights and electronic billboards within the GO Transit system and elsewhere in an effort to target potential and existing customers. Ads are also running in the commuter newspaper Metro Today and on the ENN elevator network. New executions will follow in 2002 as the two-year campaign continues. The advertising was done by MacLaren McCann Retail. M2 Universal handled the media.
