SECOND CUP AND HMV PARTNER FOR ONLINE PROMOTION

Secondcup.com and HMV.com begin an online promotion on Monday tied to rock group The Cranberries' new album "Wake Up And Smell The Coffee." As part of the promotion, the first 100 people who visit Second Cup's Web site, click on the link to HMV.com and purchase the album will receive a copy of the limited-edition Cranberries CD sampler "Preserved - The Story So Far", a compilation of the group's hits that is not available in stores. They will also receive a Second Cup Treat a Friend card. The promotion is being supported with in-store materials in Canadian Second Cup locations as well as online on the Secondcup.com Web site and on the Cranberries page of the HMV.com Web site. The promotion will also be supported an HMV.com email that will go out on Dec. 10. Public relations for both Second Cup and HMV are handled by Strategic Objectives of Toronto.
