COMPUTER SECURITY COMPANY GOES PUBLIC

A company establishing a foothold in the nascent industry of selling stuff over the World Wide Web is trying to raise money with a stock issue. Certicom Corp. of Mississauga, Ont. develops computer products that, among other things, make its safe for cyberspace shoppers to use their credit cards over the Internet. Certicom markets hardware and software for fax encryption and computer network security. Its shares are being sold by Trinity Capital Securities, Sprott Securities and Yorkton Securities. Benchmark Communications of Toronto handles PR for Certicom.
