KELLOGG CANADA PROMOTES VECTOR ENERGY BARS
By Adnews Staff
Kellogg Canada has brought a second product to the sports nutrition market: Vector Energy Bars. The bars are a follow-up to Kellogg's Vector "meal replacement" flakes introduced in 1999. According to Kellogg, Vector Energy Bars were designed with active, health-conscious Canadians in mind. Available in Cranberry Apple and Berry Burst flavours, the bars consist of fruit and grain half-covered in a yogurt coating. The product will be nationally promoted, initially with a sampling program in sports venues, health clubs and at fitness events. National television advertising from Leo Burnett will follow next month. Kellogg has also lined-up Toronto Maple Leaf goalie Curtis Joseph and Canadian Women's Hockey Team member Therese Brisson to participate in future marketing initiatives for the brand. They join cyclist Genevieve Jeanson, who formed a partnership with Kellogg's Vector brand last year. Public relations for Kellogg Canada are handled by Media Profile.
