MINDSHARE HIRED BY GLAXOSMITHKLINE

Pharmaceutical and healthcare company GlaxoSmithKline Inc. has hired MindShare Canada of Toronto to handle its medical media planning. Several other unknown agencies took part in the review. As agency of record, MindShare's assignment encompasses all advertising media activity aimed at physicians, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. GlaxoSmithKline referred to the assignment as part of a long term plan to rationalize its media investment. "GlaxoSmithKline is confident that MindShare gives us the best balance of people, resources and insight into our business needs," said the company's program manager for development, Jim Quance.
