MR. BIG PROMOTION RETURNS TO EAST SIDE MARIO'S

Three weeks of television advertising will support the return for a second year of an East Side Mario's promotion called "Attack of the Mr. Big Meal." From Nov. 12 to Dec. 9, customers of the American-Italian restaurant chain who order from a special menu of "larger-than-life" food items will receive a free extra-large Mr. Big candy bar. "We're delighted to bring back this fun promotion that proved to be a big hit with our guests," said the chain's marketing manager Wendy Porritt. "During last year's promotion we gave away over 90,000 Mr. Big bars." The 30-second television ad, created by The Ongoing Partnership of Toronto, depicts the restaurant's spokesperson Vinnie singing about the offer to guests in an East Side Mario's which resembles a piano lounge. The ad will be supported with point-of-purchase materials. Public relations for the chain are handled by Thornley Fallis Communications of Toronto. East Side Mario's is owned by Prime Restaurants.
