AFRM2 OPENS FOR BUSINESS

A new full-service communications firm called Afrm2 opens in Toronto today. It will offer senior strategic counsel and specialize in social marketing, issues advocacy, advertising and public affairs. The agency will be lead by president Bob Richardson, previously senior vice-president of Ipsos-Reid and CEO of the Toronto 2008 Olympic Bid. "It might seem counter-intuitive, but the timing couldn't be better for the kind of comprehensive communications management we're offering," said Richardson. "There's a real demand in the private and public sectors for senior-level strategic advice and know-how. Clients want recognized experts handling their business, and we've put together a compelling team." Afrm2 will be associated with ad agency TOP Advertising, led by president Susan Lenard.
