OPSIS PICKS UP MAISON DES FUTAILLES ACCOUNT

Montreal-based Maison des Futailles has hired Opsis Communication & Marketing, also of Montreal, to handle its public relations and strategic communications. Maison des Futailles is an importer, producer, bottler and marketer of wines and spirits with annual sales of about $100 million. Not currently well-known outside Quebec, the company is evaluating plans for a national expansion. Opsis received the account two weeks ago through a referral from a consultant to the vintner. The agency has already assisted in the launch of a new product called San Perrino and has performed a qualitative study of the firm's positioning and corporate identity in Quebec. Opsis is also the public relations agency of the Wine Council of Ontario and Sante: The Bloor-Yorkville Wine Festival in Toronto.
