TD CANADA TRUST CONTINUES BRANDING CAMPAIGN WITH NEW SPOT

TD Canada Trust is continuing its branding campaign, which began last month, with a new 30-second television commercial. The ad is the second in a series of three which make up the national campaign. It continues with the "Banking can be this comfortable" theme. In the ad, called "Big Cheese", various people go about their day as the labels "Big Cheese", "Top Dog", "Head Honcho", "Numero Uno" and "Grand Pooh-Bah" float above their heads. As the ad shifts to inside a bank, a voiceover says "We have a lot of different ways to say 'customer.'" The spot ends as a woman enters the bank and picks up the title "Big Kahuna" from another customer as he exits the bank. The ad is running nationally in major markets in English and French. "Know Your Name," the first spot in the campaign, depicts people with captions such as "some guy" and "some kid" above their heads. As a man walks into a TD Canada Trust branch his caption changes from "some guy" to "Mr. Martin." A voiceover says "At our bank, knowing what you need begins with knowing who you are." Advertising for TD Canada Trust is done by FCB Toronto.
