NEW ONTARIO LOTTERY A BLAST FROM THE PAST

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has introduced a new scratch to win lottery called "The 70s Game." Each ticket bears four play areas. Prizes range from $3 to $70,000. Tickets also include a collectible portion printed with symbols and icons from the 70's such as platform shoes and lava lamps. Players collect the symbols to fill in a gameboard to win $10,000. About 500,000 CDs of 70's hit songs from Universal Music can also be won. The lottery is being promoted with radio advertising from Marshall Fenn Communications of Toronto using the tagline "Dig It. Now." The game is also being promoted with outdoor and transit advertising and as part of a new monthly program of the OLGC which highlights a single game with in-store materials and other marketing activities.
