WINNERS FOLDS RELATIONSHIP WITH BENSIMON BYRNE D'ARCY

Winners Merchants Inc. of Mississauga has ended its two-year relationship with Bensimon Byrne D'Arcy. The Toronto agency had handled advertising for the retailer's Winners and HomeSense chains. Laura Penso, vice-president of marketing for Winners, said the split was amicable and the company would be developing a shortlist of agencies to search for a new advertising firm. A number of agencies will be invited to participate in a smaller review process, she said. A final decision is expected by January. The company operates 130 Winners' stores and seven HomeSense stores in Canada.
