PUBLICIS AND CORDIANT NAME NEW HOLDING COMPANY

Publicis Groupe and Cordiant Communications Group have decided to name their new holding company The Zenith Optimedia Group. The company owns Zenith Media, the media operation jointly-owned by Publicis and Cordiant, as well as Publicis' Optimedia. Each firm will retain its own management, clients and offices. Publicis and Cordiant announced plans to consolidate their media operations in July. Publicis owns 75% of The Zenith Optimedia Group while Cordiant owns the remaining 25%. The new company will be headed by chief executive officer John Perriss, formerly chairman and CEO of Zenith Media Holdings.
