POPEYES EXPANDS TO BRITISH COLUMBIA

Olive Hospitality Inc. has signed an agreement with Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits to develop 30 new restaurants in British Columbia over the next seven years. The restaurants will be located in the Greater Vancouver area. The first three will open next year. This is Popeyes' first move into British Columbia. The chain currently operates a number of locations in Ontario. Popeyes serves a menu of Cajun-style food. The restaurants are decorated in bright colours, balconies, awnings, gooseneck lighting and murals, accompanied by New Orleans jazz and Cajun-style music. Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits is a division of Atlanta-based AFC Enterprises. AFC operates 275 franchise locations in 21 international markets including Korea, Germany, Honduras and Japan.
