MEGA BLOKS TARGETS OLDER CHILDREN WITH GLOBAL CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
Children's building blocks manufacturer Mega Bloks will break a global ad campaign called "Transformation" in Canada next month. This will be the company's first comprehensive marketing effort to target older children. Sharon McCarry, director of marketing for Mega Bloks, said the television ads are aimed at boys aged 7 to 11. Two of the three spots in the campaign will begin a four-week run in Canada on Nov. 19. The spots will air nationally on Teletoon and on cable stations in Quebec and Ontario. The campaign, created by Milk Arts, introduces viewers to a Mega Bloks universe where fantasy scenarios take place. McCarry said the ads introduce the branding the company will use for the next year for this demographic. The "Transformation" campaign is also running in the U.S., England, France and Australia.
