KEEP THAT REPORT LOOKING GOOD

Be careful about cutting down on the quality of your annual report. This is a caution from Potlach Corporation, a Minnesota maker of papers widely used in annual reports, which had a study done on company reports this year by Yankelovich Partners in the U.S. Forty per cent of stockholders in the study indicated that that cheap-looking reports sent a signal to them that business is not good, says Potlach. Over 60% of shareholders found reports without photography are "boring." According to Potlach, individual stockholders are more heavily reliant on charts and photography than analysts or portfolio managers.
