TOMIK NAMED PRESIDENT CANWEST MEDIA SALES

Jack Tomik has been named president of CanWest Media Sales Ltd., effective November 1, 2001. Tomik will re-locate to Toronto to lead the advertising marketing and sales company with overall responsibility for the national advertising sales for CanWest's Canadian television, publishing and online properties. Previously, he was senior vice-president of CanWest Media Sales and general manager of Global Television in British Columbia.
