OCEAN SPRAY LOOKS FOR CRANBERRY CREATIONS

Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. of Mississauga is holding a Cranberry Creations Recipe contest to coincide with the 2001 holiday season. The nation-wide contest invites Canadians to send in cranberry recipes to be evaluated by a panel of judges for $5,000 in cash prizes. The winning recipe will also be posted on the <http://www.oceanspray.ca> Web site. The recipe must be unique and make use of an Ocean Spray product such as Ocean Spray Craisins Sweetened Dried Cranberries, Ocean Spray Fresh Cranberries, Ocean Spray Whole Berry and Jellied Sauces, Ocean Spray Premium Juice Blends or Ocean Spray Cranberry Cocktails. The deadline for entries is January 31. One grand prize of $2,500 in cash will be awarded along with five $500 regional prizes for British Columbia/Alberta, Saskatchewan/Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes. The contest is being promoted with English-language POP materials and an English and French free standing insert to be distributed in the December issues of Canadian Living, Homemaker's, Madame Au Foyer, Le Bel Age and Coup De Pouce magazines. The POP materials and insert were created by Strateco of Toronto. Public relations are being handled by Cohn & Wolfe, also of Toronto. The recipe contest will also be promoted on the OceanSpray.ca Web site.
