QUEBEC COMEDY SHOW FINDS BACKERS

Trimark Mutual Funds has signed on as the main sponsor of a musical comedy review in Quebec being produced by Sortie 22, a company launched by three Quebecers: Patrick Huard, François Massicotte and François Flamond. Demain matin Montreal, m'attend has a production budget of $2.2 million. One million of that will be spent on a three-month advertising and public relations campaign in Montreal, Quebec City and Sherbrooke. Print, radio, television and posters will be used for the advertising. Another sponsor is the T. Eaton Co. It was the backing of these two companies that allowed Sortie 22 to go into production, says Flamand. Trimark, Canada's second-largest mutual fund company, says the show reaches the baby boomers that make up the financial company's target market. This group remembers the first version of the show from the early '70s. Also, Demain matin will be staged during the period when people make decisions about investments for their RRSPs.
