DoubleClick Canada has come to an agreement with wedding Web site Weddingbells.ca by which the Toronto-based Internet advertising company will sell advertising and sponsorship inventory on Weddingbells.ca in conjunction with the site's in-house sales staff. "Weddingbells.ca attracts a highly targeted audience of Web-savvy consumers at a momentous life stage," said Jennifer Hoskins, vice-president of business development for Weddingbells.ca. "Advertisers are able to leverage the intimate and interactive relationship we share with our members as we guide them through the various states of planning." In April Key Media acquired a controlling interest in the wedding planning Web site <http://www.idoido.com> and combined that material with the editorial content of Weddingbells magazine to create Weddingbells.ca. This deal brings the total number of Web sites in DoubleClick's Canadian network to 21.
