DELL NAMES GCI AGENCY FOR AMERICAS

Dell Computer Corp. of Round Rock, TX has appointed GCI Group public relations agency of record for the company's Americas business unit. GCI received the account at the end of an eight-week review of seven agencies. It will provide Dell public relations support in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Barry French, director of communications for Dell's Americas business unit, said GCI's offices in Austin, TX and Boulder, CO would lead the U.S. and Canadian business with support from its offices in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Dallas and Toronto. Dell's Latin American business will be handled from the agency's Mexico City and Sao Paulo, Brazil offices.
