TELETOON AND STARBURST STAGE GREAT FALL TOON-UP

Toronto-based animation station Teletoon and Starburst candy have teamed up for a promotion called "The Great Fall Toon-Up". Running from August 27 to September 23, the on-air initiative promotes the fall season on Teletoon. Each day between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. a 15-second "Burst" will air on Teletoon. Viewers write down the day and time and enter online at <http://www.teletoon.com> to win. The grand prize consists of 500 two-dollar coins, a school-year's supply of Starburst candy and a starring role in a 30-second cartoon short that will be broadcast on-air and online. The flash-based cartoon short will be produced in conjunction with Studio B Productions and will feature a character based on the likeness of the winner. Thirty secondary prizes of Teletoon back-to-school merchandise and Starburst candy are also available. A 30-second awareness spot is supporting the promotion and directing viewers to watch out for the 15-second "Burst." Starburst is distributed by Effem Inc. of Bolton, ON.
