SPORTSCO HANGS FOR SALE SIGN ON SKYDOME NAME

Sportsco International is selling the naming rights to SkyDome, according to a report in the National Post. To assit in its search for a corporate sponsor, the company has hired a U.S.-based consulting firm, the report said. Norman Seagram, president of Sportsco, is quoted as saying "It certainly is something we've been looking at for some time," and, "Most major stadiums in North America have their name sponsored." Sportsco bought the 12-year-old stadium in 1999 for $80 million.
