ROGERS AT&T WIRELESS AND AT&T CANADA DELIVER TENNIS CAMPAIGN

To promote the upcoming Rogers AT&T Cup at the National Tennis Centre at York University in Toronto from August 11 to 19, co-sponsors Rogers AT&T Wireless and AT&T Canada have launched a new television advertising campaign. Featuring the event's lineup of female tennis players including Serena Williams, Jennifer Capriati, Martina Hingis and Anna Kournikova, the three 30-second spots will air during Toronto Blue Jays telecasts on TSN, Sportsnet and CBC. The commercials are also running nationally on TSN, Global and CBC during major tennis events such as Wimbledon and the Tennis Masters Series Canada. The first two spots, entitled "Program Cell Wireless" and "Program Blackberry Wireless", show a Rogers AT&T Cup souvenir magazine lying beside the net. Pages of the magazine are blown back and forth by the wake of the ball passing overhead. As each page is turned, a message about the tournament is revealed. The third spot, "Grunts," uses the "grunt cam" to reveal what players are thinking as they grunt when striking the ball. The official tournament song, "Bionic" by Melanie Doane, is also used in the spot. Advertising for the Rogers AT&T Cup was done by MHz Design Communications of Toronto.
