ROYAL BANK BRINGS ULTIMIX REWARD PROGRAM TO TORONTO

Royal Bank of Canada is bringing a rewards program called Ultimix to its Royal Bank Gold Preferred, Platinum Preferred and AVION Visa credit cardholders in Toronto. The program, initially tested in the Greater Vancouver Area last fall, was created by Royal Bank and its wholly-owned subsidiary Ernex Marketing Technologies of Burnaby, BC. Cardholders are awarded points and prizes at participating merchants for purchases made with Royal Bank Visa credit cards. Cardholders also earn points for repeat visits to the same merchant as well as instant win prizes such as gift certificates, dinners and trips. Promotional periods throughout the year will offer cardholders the chance to earn double or more than the regular points at certain locations. Magazine advertising, POS materials and a direct mail drop, all created by U.S.-based Creative Solutions Inc., are promoting the program.
