PUBLICIS RESTRUCTURES CREATIVE DEPARTMENT
By Adnews Staff
Publicis has restructured the creative department of its Montreal office and created a new creative "wing." The agency made the move earlier this week after letting go all but five of its creative employees. The new wing, called M7 Publicis, is the result of several months of studies aimed at revamping the methodology and the way creative products are developed, said Yves Gougoux, chief executive officer of Publicis Canada. It will be headed by Michel Beaudet. For the past year Beaudet has been freelancing. Prior to that he was with BBDO Montreal, then known as PNMD. Working under Beaudet will be Michel Van Houtte as co-director, Eric Chavagnac, Marcus Hilderbrand, Maxime Patenaude, Jacqueline Zegray and Patrick Chaubet. Also, Caroline Jarvis has returned to the agency as creative director, working on the Publicis WellCare and L'Oréal Canada accounts. Jarvis left the agency last year to join Cossette in Vancouver.
