AIR CANADA POSTS GRAND PRIX CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
Air Canada is promoting its sponsorship of Grand Prix racing with a new ad campaign on Montreal-based Zoom Media's Resto-Bar Network. The ad effort broke in Toronto and Montreal in mid-May with postcards and three-dimensional display boards. The postcard series focuses on Air Canada destinations around the world in which F1 Grand Prix events take place. The display boards carry advertising with the airline's colours. The concept for the campaign, which runs until June 10, was created by M2 Universal, the media arm of Marketel. "We wanted to captivate the real fans, the F1 aficionados, and accordingly maximize the impact of Air Canada's significant position as title sponsor," said Tony Attanasio, Marketel vice-president. The Air Canada Grand Prix takes place in Montreal from June 8 to 10.
