MAYBELLINE HOLDS LIP COLOUR CONTEST
By Adnews Staff
Maybelline Canada has teamed with Universal Music Canada, Le Château, Fuji Film Canada and Famous Players to promote the introduction of its new Wet Shine lip colour. A contest called "I Wanna Shine" is targeting women 12-24 years of age, encouraging them to visit a Famous Players or Le Château store to win a double pass to see and meet recording artist Carly Hennessy live in concert. Women can also enter online at <http://www.iwannashine.com>. Universal Music will produce the Carly Hennessy concerts between July 29 and August 2 at Famous Players locations in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary. A sampling program running until June 30 is also being used to support the launch of Wet Shines. Marketers visiting Famous Players locations will give away free samples of Maybelline Wet Shine lip colour, Fuji Film cameras and instant photo souvenirs, CD samplers from Universal Music and Wet Shine T-shirts designed by Le Château. Local radio stations in the Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver markets are running similar sampling programs on-air. The "I Wanna Shine" promotion will be supported with radio advertising in select major markets, print ads in teen magazines, online advertising on teen Web sites and all partner Web sites and with in-theatre advertising. The "I Wanna Shine" contest and supporting advertising were created by Marketel-McCann Erickson of Montreal.
