CYBERSIGHT CHANGES NAME TO NINE DOTS
By Adnews Staff
Interactive marketing firm CyberSight of Toronto has changed its name to Nine Dots. The company acquired the name in late 2000 when it bought Nine Dots Corp. of Irvine, California, another interactive marketing firm. In early 2001 CyberSight purchased Martin's Direct & Loyalty Marketing, a Toronto-based direct marketing agency. The company's intention is to integrate the three firms under the single banner of Nine Dots. "We are a very different company now than we were when CyberSight was formed in 1994," said company president and CEO Andrew Shakman. "The decision to change our name reflects our growth, the full range of services we now offer clients and our desire to build a timeless and memorable brand." Nine Dots' clients include Honda Canada, Nike Canada, General Motors, Intel, Molson Canada and Visa International, among others. Nine Dots is majority-owned by MDC Corp. Inc.
