CANADA.COM AND CHARLES SCHWAB TEAM UP FOR STOCK CHALLENGE

Canada.com and Charles Schwab Canada Co. have teamed up for another $10,000 Stock Challenge. The eight-week online promotion at <http://www.canada.com/stockchallenge> lets users who sign up choose 25 TSE stocks for their portfolio. From May 22 to the end of June users can monitor their picks at the site, when the contestant with the highest percentage gain in his or her portfolio will win the $10,000 prize. Print ads began running in 13 major dailies on May 7 for the two-week registration period. An online campaign on the Canada.com network and ads in daily and monthly Canada.com and Globaltv.com email newsletters sent to 200,000 opt-in subscribers will also be promoting the contest. Advertising for the $10,000 Stock Challenge was handled in-house.
