SUM MEDIA APPOINTS PUBLISHERS AND PRESIDENT

Pierre Francoeur has been appointed president and CEO of Sun Media. The appointment is one of four the newspaper publishing company announced on Friday. Also announced was the appointment of Les Pyette as publisher and CEO of The Toronto Sun, Susan Muszak as publisher and CEO of The London Free Press and Lou Clancy as publisher and CEO of FYI Toronto. Francoeur most recently served as president and COO of Sun Media and publisher and CEO of Le Journal de Montréal. Pyette most recently held the same titles at The London Free Press. Muszak has held the title of general manager of The London Free Press since January of 1998 and Clancy's responsibilities are in addition to his role as vice-president of corporate editorial for Sun Media.
