DELL TOUTS LOWER PRICES

Dell Canada of Toronto started radio advertising this week as part of a campaign focusing on price discounts. The commercials were created by Sharpe Blackmore Partnership of Toronto. Last month Dell lowered notebook prices by up to 21%, and dropped the costs of Dimension desktop machines by up to 13.1%. Direct mail began late last month, complementing print ads which started in early November. Direct mail is being done by Hughes Rapp Collins of Toronto. Print advertising was created by the U.S. parent company's agency, Goldberg, Moser, O'Neill of San Francisco. Sharpe is handling Canadian media. Dell sells its computers by mail and phone order.
