PJ DDB RAISES SAFETY AWARENESS AMONG ALBERTA WORKERS
By Adnews Staff
Palmer Jarvis DDB of Edmonton is breaking a new safety awareness campaign for the Alberta Workers' Compensation Board. The "Heads Up" campaign consists of a 30-second television commercial and a series of three poster running throughout the province at job sites and in the washrooms of restaurants and bars. The advertising targets inexperienced workers as well as their employers. The goal of the campaign is to reduce injuries and accidents to workers with six months or less on the job. The posters use washroom-style symbols. One execution reads "Admit it, you don't know dick." A second shows the male and disabled symbols and reads "It's in your hands." The third poster carries a male symbol whose head has fallen on the ground. It reads "What he doesn't know can hurt you, too." The campaign will run until mid-June.
