BATES TAKES PFIZER MEDIA BUSINESS

Bates Canada has won the $30 million to $40 million consolidated media planning and buying account of Pfizer Canada's Warner Lambert Consumer Group. Also pitching for the account were MBS, Carat Canada and MindShare Canada. An agency review was undertaken earlier this year following the merger of Pfizer and Warner-Lambert. All of the participating agencies, with the exception of Carat, had previously worked with Pfizer or Warner-Lambert. Carat holds the consolidated Pfizer account in the U.S.
