RADIO SPOTS DRIVE TORONTO PARKING CAMPAIGN

Toronto-based ad agency Campbell Michener & Lee has created a series of three radio spots for the Toronto Parking Authority's ongoing safety-awareness campaign. The Toronto Parking Authority operates Green P Parking lots throughout the city. In the past, print ads and transit executions were used in similar campaigns. This is the first time the organization has used radio. "Utilizing a traditional jingle and a 50s style announcer, we created spots which are really a throwback to an earlier era," said Henry Wong, creative director of Campbell Michener & Lee. The trio of 30-second commercials began running on March 5. The spots convey safety tips for a sports, business or concert environment. The spots also continue with the campaign's "Parking without a care" tagline. The radio advertising running in the Greater Toronto Area is being supported with print ads in local community newspapers.
