ENVOY MOVES FUSIONCREATIVE UNDER WATT INTERNATIONAL BANNER

At its annual general meeting Tuesday, Geoff Genovese, chief executive of Toronto-based Envoy Communications announced the company's wholly owned subsidiary FUSIONcreative would now operate as the corporate branding and design practice of Watt International. Watt is Envoy's global brand strategy and design company. "The re-branding of FUSIONcreative under Watt International is part of Envoy's strategy to build best-of-breed companies in each of its core disciplines: design, marketing and technology," Genovese said. The move of FUSIONcreative to the Watt banner, expands Watt's services to include visual identity, corporate branding and communications systems. Genovese also announced the company's acquisition of London-based Leagas Delaney is expected to be completed by the April 2001 date. Although financial details were not disclosed, Genovese did announce the company had received a term sheet from a major Canadian bank for funding and would not have to raise funds.
