PJ DDB LOOKING FOR NEW IDEAS

As an inaugural sponsor of the New Ventures BC Competition, Vancouver-based Palmer Jarvis DDB donated a slew of its services including advertising, graphic design, corporate identity and new media/interactive services in support of the province-wide initiative. The multi-media campaign, consisting of print and radio advertising as well as an Internet component, launched yesterday and is running until early April when contest registration closes. Advertising creative features the "We're looking for new ideas" slogan and is targeting entrepreneurs throughout BC that have a business idea for a product or service connected to the area of new technology. Media support has been donated by The Vancouver Sun, The Province and Vancouver radio stations CKNW and NW2. In addition to the ad campaign, PJ DDB's divisions Tribal DDB and karacters design group created the <http://www.newventuresbc.com> Web site which entrepreneurs are directed to in the ads. Karacters design group also created the corporate identity and logo for the competition. The BC Ventures Society, which is organizing the contest, is a cooperative of business, academic and government partners, as well as sponsors and contributors, that are working to stimulate a healthy economy for BC.
