BENSIMON/BYRNE GOES GOLFING

Bensimon/Byrne of Toronto is launching a print campaign tomorrow for the Canadian Senior Open golf tournament being held in June at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club in Ontario. The purpose of the ads is to drum up advance ticket sales. The Canadian Senior Open is organized by the Royal Canadian Golf Association. The the association settled on Bensimon after talking to five other agencies. The golf group "needed a company that could take on the business, start right away and put a focus on it," association spokesperson Scott Simmons told Adnews this week. The RCGA also organizes the Bell Canadian Open for which Toronto-based Leo Burnett Company handles advertising.
