CANADA.COM AND CHARLES SCHWAB UP TO THE CHALLENGE

Canada.com and Charles Schwab Canada Co. have teamed up in the $10,000 Stock Challenge. The online promotion is running for eight-weeks at <http://www.canada.com/stockchallenge>. Users sign up for the contest and select Up to 25 stocks listed on the TSE. Beginning Feb. 19, participants will begin tracking the progress of their chosen stocks. The challenge will run until the end of March. The contestant with the highest percentage gain at the end of the promotion will win $10,000 in prize money. A print campaign is running in 13 major dailies during the two-week registration period, which began Feb. 5. An online campaign featuring banner ads, buttons and test ads will run throughout the Canada.com network promoting the contest. Ads will also run in daily and monthly Canada.com and Globaltv.com email newsletters sent to over 150,000 opt-in subscribers. The print ads were created by Rethink Advertising of Vancouver. The online campaign was handled in-house.
