MEDIACOM LOOKS FOR HARRY IN NEW CAMPAIGN

Mediacom is asking Canadians "Where is Harry?" Transit shelter posters began posing that question last week as part of a national campaign from the Toronto-based company to draw attention to and create awareness of transit shelter advertising. The campaign features two characters, "Doris" and "Harry," which Mediacom used in a similar campaign last year. The two originally appeared in a campaign almost a decade ago said Kim Warburton, marketing manager for Mediacom. During the first phase of the campaign poster viewers are directed to visit a Web site located at "Whereisharry.com" for a teaser message. This week, in the second phase, "I found Harry" posters will begin appearing, directing viewers to visit "Ifoundharry.com" where they enter to win a trip for two to Cuba by revealing where Harry was found. The campaign was created in-house by Mediacom and will run for the next four to five weeks. A similar campaign is running in the Quebec market featuring characters called "Pierre" and "Marie."
